Our Client building a high-speed broadband network that provides a wholesale capability to service providers. A variety of delivery methods and technologies (MTM) are utilised, ranging across FTTP, FTTB, FTTN, HFC, Fixed Wireless, Satellite as well as several supporting technologies (DWDM, L2 Aggregation and other supporting facilities).
  
A bit about your role
  
A key member of the Wireless team, the Core Engineer- Wireless fulfills a critical role in delivering the design, supporting the design and the management of the capacity and performance of the Wireless Core within the Wireless group.
  
The role exists to govern the accuracy and on-time delivery of the designs required to roll-out the fixed wireless program, the forecasting, monitoring, planning, proactive triggering and on-time delivery of the Core upgrades through both client and third party delivery agents. The incumbent will be accountable for the periodic engagement and communication of the wireless design requirements, roll-out program timeframes, plans and forecast.
  
The Core Engineer-Wireless will participate in the planning and analysis activities of the Wireless Core performance and trends, and forecasts and take a proactive collaborative action to manage the Wireless Core capacity and performance.
  
The Core Engineer - Wireless will ensure that the designs for the implementation of the Wireless Core projects will be within financial budgets and delivering savings on network TCO.
  
The role requires its incumbent to have organisational, interpersonal and leadership skills, as well as a thorough knowledge of the landscape of the wireless access service and the ability to understand both high level and the low-level detail design, and the future technology of the Wireless Core.
  
A bit about you
  
You would have at least 5 years of experience planning, designing and integration in the EPC, while managing vendor resources to deliver to SLA and acting when the performance is lowered. Demonstrating experience in customer experience and working in customer experience (CX) focused teams.
  
Having in-depth knowledge of 4G Wireless Packet core equipment, standards, dimensioning, forecasting, and modeling. You would also have a solid grounding in all interface and protocol standards within the SAE/LTE core domain such as IP, GTP, SCTP, UDP, GRE, Radius and Diameter. Ideally, you would have worked in the telecommunications industry and be knowledgeable around logistics and procurement policies and procedures while having work experience in process development and some coding/scripting language (Python and Tableau ideally).
  
Reporting would be something that you are currently doing daily and understanding the clients’s design and standards would be very advantageous.
