My client is a rapidly growing Australian company in the consumer Electronics industry.

They're looking for a number of Engineers to join their production team and one of these openings is for a Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineer who'll be responsible for supporting the production team through machinery maintenance & bring up of new machines required for the assembly and testing of new products.

In addition to developing equipment and machine specifications you'll also be heavily involved in new product introduction activities which will include one or more of the following aspects
  • Assembly process flow & manufacturing line layout
  • Organisation & management of pilot production runs
  • Working closely with their design teams to understand product assembly and test requirements.
  • Provide DFA and DFM feedback to their engineering design teams

You should have tertiary level qualifications in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering, experience in Mechanical CAD design - ideally Solidworks - and prior commercial experience in a DFM/DFA environment

 Any previous experience with consumer electronics would be highly advantageous.
