About the role As Procurement Manager, you will provide procurement expertise and leadership across all aspects of the procurement lifecycle, with a specific focus on Plan and Source stages, category strategy development, and sourcing execution. You'll work across a variety of client and category group allocations, partnering closely with business stakeholders to deliver value-for-money outcomes aligned with the client's policy and frameworks.
What you'll do
Develop and execute complex category strategies and sourcing activities, considering risk, value for money and business needs
Lead end-to-end RFx processes including tenders, evaluations, supplier negotiations, contract development and execution
Act as a trusted Business Partner, providing strategic procurement advice on pipeline, demand management, supplier engagement and acquisition strategy
Conduct market trends and innovation analysis to inform category and procurement strategies
Lead, mentor and develop direct reports and cross-functional team members through practical, on-the-job support
Identify, mitigate and escalate procurement risks to protect organisational interests and maximise commercial opportunities
Maintain procurement records and generate compliance reports in line with agency and government requirements
What we're looking for
Demonstrated experience managing and delivering procurement and category management.
Strong knowledge of Procurement Framework
Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and influence at a senior level in politically and commercially sensitive environments
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
Leadership experience including coaching and developing team members
