About the team
The team manages the end-user desktop environment and core workplace technologies, including:
- Standard Operating Environment (SOE)
- Active Directory
- Exchange
- Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)
- Application Packaging
- The team works closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure reliable and secure technology services.
What you'll do
As the Project / Delivery Manager, you'll be the key contact for managed ICT service providers and internal technical teams.
Your responsibilities will include
- Managing the delivery of managed ICT services from end to end
- Reviewing and renewing ICT service contracts
- Identifying technical risks and preparing requirements for market approaches and tenders
- Leading the transition of new services and service providers
- Monitoring service performance against SLAs and KPIs
- Coordinating with technical teams and vendors to ensure smooth operations
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders at operational and executive levels
- Managing risks, issues, releases, and service improvements
- Facilitating meetings, recording actions, and tracking outcomes
- Ensuring service documentation and escalation processes remain current
Must-have skills
- Proven experience successfully delivering technical projects
- Experience with Australian Public Service (APS) procurement, Approach to Market (ATM), and tender processes
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience facilitating meetings, managing action items, and keeping senior stakeholders informed
- Strong risk, issue, and release management capabilities
Nice-to-have skills
- 5+ years' experience in delivery management or service delivery
- Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM), including: Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management and Request Management
- Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies
- Experience using project and service management tools
- Experience managing enterprise desktop, messaging, or workplace technology environments
- Understanding of Technology Service Management (SFIA ITMG Level 6)
