We are seeking an experienced Data Manager to support enterprise application and database environments within a large, complex organisation. This role plays a critical part in ensuring application reliability, database performance, and the delivery of high‑quality data services that enable informed, data‑driven decision‑making.
Reporting to a senior technology leader, you will work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to support production systems, resolve issues, and continually improve database and application performance.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement solutions to resolve application and database issues.
Analyse application behaviour, logs, error messages, and system performance to diagnose root causes.
Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and IT service teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
Monitor software applications in production, including response times, error rates, and resource utilisation.
Analyse database performance and ensure efficiency, security, and alignment with user and business needs.
Ensure databases meet agreed service level objectives and operational standards.
Provide ongoing support and administration of databases supporting enterprise applications.
Use monitoring and diagnostic tools to proactively assess database and application health.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including automation of database administration tasks.

Experience & Technical Expertise
Demonstrated experience in infrastructure operations and/or production support environments.
Proven experience administering databases within a large enterprise environment.
Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience as an Oracle DBA, across application and/or data warehouse platforms.
Experience or capability in automating database administration processes.
