I specialise in ICT recruitment, and my IT background gives me a strong advantage in this area. I can easily understand both candidates and clients, even when they speak in technical jargon or use project‑specific language. This helps me communicate clearly with everyone involved.

Because of this, I’m able to act as a bridge between candidates and clients, helping them understand each other and maintaining strong relationships. This technical understanding is something I feel is often missing in the market today, and it’s what allows me to support both sides effectively.

The best part of my job is talking to candidates and clients and really understanding how I can support them. I enjoy helping candidates secure the right opportunities and helping clients find the right people for their teams. For me, this work feels more like a passion than a sales job, because I genuinely enjoy building these connections and making a positive impact on both sides.

My Top Two Interview Tips

1)       Use real project examples and follow the STARI method. It keeps your answers clear and helps the interviewer understand exactly what you did.

STARI = Situation, Task, Action, Result, Impact. Example:

·         Situation: The project was delayed.

·         Task: My job was to fix the issue.

·         Action: I reviewed the deployment pipeline and corrected a script error.

·         Result: Deployment time reduced from 2 hours to 30 minutes.

·         Impact: The team delivered the release on time.

2)       Explain your technical experience in both technical and simple terms. This shows that you can communicate well with technical stakeholders and non‑technical stakeholders. This ability tells the interviewer that you can work across different groups and help everyone stay on the same page.
